We set out on our journey calling our business Advertising Energy, with the mission to help employers and job seekers find each other. We quickly started working with corporate employers, government organisations and recruitment firms. In those days, sourcing was mainly done via newspaper ads!
BRW fastest growing private company in 2000!.. We grew rapidly into one of Australia's largest advertising agencies with a $30 million annual turnover and offices nationwide. About this time, a structural shift was underway, and we began to move our recruitment focus online.
We had the bright idea to launch over 30 specialised employment websites. The Job Portals Network has an industry job board for all major employment verticals, including engineering! Job seekers wanted a more personalised experience and also began to adopt social media.
From 2024, Taykon brought everything together; EVP, creative, job boards and employee experience, into one connected way of attracting and engaging talent.
